Artist - Jeweler - CAD Designer
Jackie obtained her B.F.A from Temple University at the Tyler School of Art in 2019. She received a Minor in Art History. She creates works that are inspired by Endangered and Threatened species. She combines her lover for nature with her simple and elegant style to create one of a kind pieces.
Artist Statement
I make jewelry and other objects that are inspired by Endangered, Threatened, Vulnerable Species. I use these animals in my work because I feel it is a way to start conversations and to get people thinking of ways they can make an impact. I hope that people see all of these animals that people love that are now endangered, and I hope they realize that soon we will never see them again, I hope people become sad and want to seek change.
My work is primarily made using 3D modeling and 3D printing technology. I like to combine sterling silver and white materials like nylon and resin. Reducing the motif to two colors creates a visual cohesion among the pieces. Additionally, reducing that animals down to no color portrays the idea, similar to bleached coral, once the animal begins to die, it loses its color.
I make jewelry and other small objects, as it allows for more people to have access to the pieces. It allows for my pieces to be seen in a non-traditional setting; they can be seen walking on the street. It can lead to greater discussion about theses species among viewers and therefore, more impact. I hope that it will cause the
